With two daughters it's easy to find pink pictures, but I just got back from a weekend at my parents house, so I had a ton of new pics to go through. This one is from our visit to the pumpkin patch. When I saw the theme for this week I just knew which photo I wanted to use. A few days ago I got this picture of Viv playing on the swingset and she was doing her "excited" face. She closes her eyes really really tight and purses her lips, it's too hilarious!

I decided on this picture of a great couple I took engagement pictures of because of their amazing blue eyes! It's almost the exact same shade of blue! What a beautiful couple!

This is my favorite moment during weddings, it's the most exciting moment in my opinion. Better than the I Do's and the kiss. It's the moment when they are finally relaxed, everything is official and they truly feel like a married couple. It's my favorite moment as a wedding photographer to capture. Just take a look at their faces, that's love!

The first picture I took a couple of years ago after the birth of our first daughter Vivian. I used this in her birth announcement. Now that I look at it, I would've edited it differently. I don't think it's too terrible or anything but I think I've
definitely improved since then in terms of lighting as well as editing.
This picture I took this month after the birth of our second daughter Violet. I went outside for this one using natural lighting, catching the light in her eyes. I have learned a lot more about
photoshop since then as well. I would have liked to use the picture that I'm putting on her birth announcement but it is a surprise until we send out the announcements.

When I saw the theme for this week I immediately thought of this picture. It's of my three beautiful
nieces taken at my parents farm at Easter. It brings me back to the times when my sister and I would play outside on the hay bales, ride our three wheelers singing at the top of our lungs and just have a great time outside. That was before computer games, cell phones and all of the things that I think make kids grow up too fast!

I did a photoshoot with my newest addition the other day and was trying my best to get some shots with her eyes open, but it just didn't happen. However, I did get this one which I love! It was originally pretty blown out but I changed the saturation and the levels on it and I think it turned out pretty great. What an angel!

It's feet week at I Heart Faces and I'm glad we don't have to take a picture of how our feet look now. It's been a puffy feet week at my house since I'm almost 39 weeks pregnant, just two more days until my c-section! This picture was taken on vacation a few years ago and I guess I just have the beach on my mind since the last picture I entered was from the beach also! Of course this isn't my pet but I think he's a beautiful bird! I took this picture on vacation when we were in the Bahamas. I wish I was there now, but it looks like the only vacation I'm getting this year a four day stay in the hospital to have the baby. She's coming next Tuesday!

I was excited and nervous about wedding week on I Heart Faces. I am a wedding photographer, so I knew it would be hard to find just one picture. I knew I wanted it to be a candid shot, showing the true joy on the couple's faces, and I had to find the picture while my daughter watching Sesame Street! That's not a lot of time! I remembered back to this wedding and found the perfect shot. This couple decided to see each other before the wedding and when the couple does that, I always set up a "moment" for them to see each other. He has his back turned and then when I tell him to, he turns around and gets to see her walking down the aisle towards him! It's their all alone moment, well except for me that is. Anyway, I love the look on her face, she's truly happy!

I've known Matt since I was about 9 or 10 years old when we met at Burnt Cabin. He's always been a great friend so I was very excited and honored when he asked me photograph his wedding. He and Tracy are such a fun and laid back couple and even though it was very hot out and I was very pregnant it was such a fun wedding to shoot. The location was so gorgeous too!
