I Heart Faces Before and After

The first picture I took a couple of years ago after the birth of our first daughter Vivian. I used this in her birth announcement. Now that I look at it, I would've edited it differently. I don't think it's too terrible or anything but I think I've definitely improved since then in terms of lighting as well as editing. This picture I took this month after the birth of our second daughter Violet. I went outside for this one using natural lighting, catching the light in her eyes. I have learned a lot more about photoshop since then as well. I would have liked to use the picture that I'm putting on her birth announcement but it is a surprise until we send out the announcements.

I Heart Faces - Nostalgia

When I saw the theme for this week I immediately thought of this picture. It's of my three beautiful nieces taken at my parents farm at Easter. It brings me back to the times when my sister and I would play outside on the hay bales, ride our three wheelers singing at the top of our lungs and just have a great time outside. That was before computer games, cell phones and all of the things that I think make kids grow up too fast! To join in this week head over to http://www.iheartfaces.com/.

I did a photoshoot with my newest addition the other day and was trying my best to get some shots with her eyes open, but it just didn't happen. However, I did get this one which I love! It was originally pretty blown out but I changed the saturation and the levels on it and I think it turned out pretty great. What an angel!
